Keep independent creativity alive…
support IJAD Dance Company.
We are so grateful to be surrounded by creativity, love, and kindness. But in this festive season, we would like to highlight some of the challenges our industry currently faces
Across the UK, thousands of talented artists are struggling to sustain their practice. With more than 70% of the sector working freelance, many have lost income, rehearsal spaces, and essential support networks. Without timely support, we risk losing a generation of creative voices.
This is a raison d’etre of Open Online Theatre.
Founded by IJAD Dance Company, we have so far supported 5 cohorts of artists. IJAD is a registered charity that provides artists with specialised training in live and hybrid performance, and fosters a supportive community where they can collaborate, develop new work and share with audiences both online and in person.
Your support allows us to continue this vital work. Thanks to our funders and donors, we can offer professional development such as the OOT Arts/Tech Residency, providing mentoring and creative opportunities to emerging and inclusive artists, helping them build sustainable careers, reach new audiences and have a sense of stability.
Each act of generosity strengthens the future of the performing arts, making them more inclusive, more resilient and more accessible. Every contribution, small or large, makes a tangible difference, ensuring that artists can continue to inspire, challenge and connect us all.
In this festive season, please consider supporting the next generation of artists.
